Who can donate to UPPL?
Only citizens of India. Contributions from foreign sources are prohibited under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010.
Why do I need an account to donate?
Every contribution is linked to a verified account so the party can issue a proper numbered receipt and keep a record of it for you.
Is PAN required to donate?
PAN is mandatory for contributions above ₹20,000. Below that it is optional, but you need it to claim a tax deduction.
Are donations to UPPL tax-deductible?
Contributions by individuals to a registered political party may qualify for deduction under Section 80GGC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Please confirm with your tax adviser.
How can I pay?
Online payments are being set up. Until they open, contact the party office to contribute by bank transfer to the party's account; every contribution receives a numbered receipt.
Can I get a refund?
Contributions are generally non-refundable. Duplicate charges, wrong amounts, or contributions that cannot lawfully be accepted are refunded on request within 30 days — see the donation & refund policy.
