Donation & refund policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
Thank you for supporting the United People's Party Liberal. This policy applies to every contribution made through this website.
Who can donate
- Only citizens of India may contribute. Contributions from foreign sources are prohibited under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010, and will be refunded if identified.
- You must be signed in to donate, so that each contribution is recorded against a verified account and receipted correctly.
- PAN is mandatory for contributions above ₹20,000.
Payments and receipts
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay, through the party's technology partner, using UPI, cards or net banking. You are charged exactly the amount you choose; the party bears all processing costs. A numbered receipt is issued for every successful contribution, emailed to you and kept in your account. Contributions by individuals to a registered political party may be eligible for deduction under Section 80GGC of the Income-tax Act, 1961; please consult your tax adviser.
Reporting
As required by law, the party reports contributions above the prescribed threshold to the Election Commission of India, including the donor's name, address and PAN.
Refunds
Contributions are voluntary and generally non-refundable. We will refund a contribution if:
- you were charged more than once, or charged an amount different from the one you chose; or
- the contribution cannot lawfully be accepted.
To request a refund, write to us through the contact page within 30 days of the payment, quoting your receipt number. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7–10 working days.
Cancellations
If a payment fails or you close the payment window, you are not charged. If money leaves your account for a payment that shows as failed, it is normally reversed automatically by your bank within 5–7 working days.
